Community Service Hours

On January 7, 1997 the Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District Board of Education voted in favor of a community service graduation requirement. This requirement is designed to encourage student participation in worthwhile social service activities as part of the high school curriculum.
 
Requirements:
  • All students must complete 40 hours of community service before graduation 
  • Hours must be served at a "non-profit" location 
  • Community Service supervisor must sign off on our Community Service Form
  • Community Service Forms must be turned in within 30 days of completion pf hours
  • Community Service Hours may not be completed during school hours (district policy)
