By participating in Bingo every Tuesday and Thursday also that experience is on April 7th for eighth grade parents collections with Jordan let's take a look good morning Aztec welcome to coffee with the counselors where we are going to talk to you about various topics related to High School today's topic is registration so we just wrapped up our week of registration so how did that go for you guys I think mine went pretty well I have a lot of kids that still need to submit their Google form and their academic plan I would prefer the students reach out to me directly via email so that I can send them my zoom link and we can choose classes together unfortunately if they choose not to do that I will have to pick their classes for them my students can reach out to me if they eat tell me it's in that my signature line to my resume and also it's on the counting page under staff right there they can click and then they don't have to pee and what's so nice about the zoo Lake appointment He's a point and they can pick a time and a day that works best for them and what work for me I don't know if this works great for you guys but a lot of the students then just emailed her teacher letting them know if it's a dirt bike. That they have account an appointment and we can always verify their attendance after the appointment so far this year one thing about covet closure that I would like to be continued what do you think about this whole academic playing this new way of registering you guys feel like that was a good way to do registration in some ways yes in other ways I think maybe using our old course request there's it's there's advantages that was the one thing I do like is that they can see all four years at one time so they can really plan their courses by subject so they know the math progression the science progression when they're going to fit electives in and that's what I think so I think it works well I like it because I think that it combines the the ease of the actual card stock that we used to use plus they get to see the classes that they've completed the classes that they chose previously and then we just go in the update plan with them every year do it combines the 4-year plan that they did freshman year with their transcript with classes the classes that would normally be on the registration card sell the only the only things that have to be here why was it we don't have alternate unless they complete the Google worksheet they still can do that so that way if a it's cool then they don't get stuck in a class if they don't want and we can look at their alternative elementary school students today I'm going to talk to you about tutoring opportunities to know silly not tutoring opportunities for you tutoring opportunities for elementary students provided by Esperanza I asked Mr Drake a few questions about this so let's go to one of those two the available day on March 15th and it's Mondays and Thursdays in the afternoon who will be conducting the tutoring so mrs. Potter or ABC teacher play teacher should be the one coordinating it and right now we have about 15 students from the ABC teacher pathway who are volunteering to be our Esperanza student tutors which schools will have the opportunity for this tutoring we have six local elementary schools including Travis Fairmont Glenview Glen Knoll and a couple others that I'm blanking on schools that we reached out to and is there anything else you'd like to say wait a great first date far the first day we had I'm about 25 elementary students show up all different grades and they broke up into a breakout rooms and work with our students doing math language arts and several other subjects thanks mr. Drake now let's just ignore the fact that I change clothes completely between those two scenes and acts like it was one smooth transition anyway that's all I got time for this week until next time as text has been Hayden Wheatley for ETV text Jamie here with ETV let you know that aren't you just choirs having auditions next week from people 13th to the 15th at 2:30 to about 4 you can sign up for auditions on the website for music. Make sure to check it out and join the choir family also artist will be holding a presentation about 2 students at Yorba Linda High School web successfully started a black student union Club at ylhs this presentation will be held on April 7th at 3 over to the front of the high school teams information on how they can bring the scope you're interested in attending it'll be a QR code on screen now scanned it and fill out the form and I'm going to Mom's house and I'm here to tell you about Esperanto medical career pathway my name is Dennis what is the Medical Careers class Medical Sciences Academy at Esperanza is a pathway program we have three different levels we have an intro level Virginia response and the Capstone class is our medical assisting and that is for seniors only who have completed the first two levels what requirements are there for students to join they need to make sure that they are in attendance that they don't have no career readiness so we want to make sure that these are students that are serious about what they're doing so that they can be successful thanks for Easton remember freshman you can still high to join as pathway make sure to follow us on Instagram Twitter Facebook and YouTube this is ETV signing out be safe and stay great at
