Spanish I La Tarea (Homework)
Subject to change-- look at the board in class for updates


Note:  I will accept late homework (3 pts.)till the end of the chapter.  After that, there will be no credit.
 
Homework on quizlet.com- is due at the beginning of each chapter. (search Realidades I para empezar- greetings or chapter 1A vocab, etc. (the chapter we are working on in class) find the list that is similar to the book list we are currently studying- (usually use the 1st list that appears)- You must practice for 30 minutes by listening to the words pronounced in Spanish, quizzing yourself with the flashcard on the site, and practicing with the games. Then take the practice test – print it for proof (must score an A- or higher to count for credit. Have your parent write a note on the handout  with his/her signature dated  specifically stating that student studied for 30 minutes on the particular chapter (or on a piece of paper stating the above if printer is not available) Your parent/guardian must be present while you do the quizlet homework
 

Please Note: Spiral notebook--  Entries in the notebook  can only receive late credit up to the end of the chapter.  The spiral notebook is worth 100 points and will be seen on Aeries at the end of the semester.  To check if your child has their entries completed, please look for a stamp on top of their labeled entry on the right side page.  All stamps are full credit (5 pts.)  except for the incompleto stamp which  is worth  3 points.

 

Students are allowed to retake a test if they score below a 75%- within 1 week of test returned. To retake a student must have a parent note stating that he/she restudied for 1 hour.  On a retake, the highest grade a student can earn is  a 75%.

  • What’s your name?
  • How are you?

  • Where you’re from?
  • What do you do on Saturdays with friends? (¿Qué haces los viernes con tus amigos? ¿Y los sábados? ¿Y los domingos?
  • Qué haces con tu familia?
  • Where do you go? When and with whom?
  • mention at least 3 activities—things you do on Friday, Saturday and on Sunday
  • Discuss tv shows/movies,etc.
  • what do you do with your family on Sundays?—con tu familia?
  • Do you go to church, out to dinner
  • Ask your partner back—remember it’s a conversation not an interview

Closing----Ask what time it is, say good-bye b/c you have to go to class

Directions: Write a dialogue with your partner in your spiral. Entrada 9--Use 2 different colors to distinguish the speakers.

 (15-20 lines)

Situation: Invite a friend to do 3 different activities. Your friend has two different excuses for not being able to do the first 2 activities. Finally the friend agrees to do the 3rd activity. He asks some questions to find out more. When is the activity at what time, who is going, etc.  Agree on a time and place to meet.

  • Begin with typical greetings (you already know the friend)
  • Invite friend using different questions such as:

     ¿Puedes ir conmigo al partido de fútbol el viernes?

     ¿Quieres ir conmigo al cine el sábado?

     ¿Te gustaría ir de compras este fin de semana?

  • Partner responds with excuses such as:

Lo siento, no puedo ir; tengo que estudiar esta noche porque tengo un examen muy difícil mañana

No puedo……..estoy  cansado porque……..

  • Discuss the time you will meet and where. Say goodbye see you at particular time.
