Community Advisory Message - Drive Up Graduation June 11th

Please be advised. As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, Esperanza High School will host a drive-through graduation ceremony on campus this week from 9am-4pm on June 11th.

Though plans have been made to control traffic and contain even to our campus, drivers and pedestrians are encouraged to adjust travel plans and times accordingly to avoid the areas around Esperanza High School all day on June 11th.

We thank you in advance for planning ahead and avoiding the area around school during this time. Thank you for your cooperation, and congratulations to the Aztec Class of 2020!

Esperanza School Closure

On Wednesday, April 1, 2020, Governor Gavin Newsom and State Superintendent of Public Instruction Tony Thurmond announced that all California school districts should close campuses for the remainder of the school year due to the safety concerns surrounding coronavirus (COVID-19). In addition, Orange County Department of Education (OCDE) Superintendent Al Mijares also recommended keeping campuses closed for the rest of the school year and focusing on distance learning. As a result, the Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District (PYLUSD) has extended its temporary school closures through the remainder of the 2019-2020 school year, which ends June 11, 2020.

2019-2020 AP Exam Information

Due to the Coronavirus social distancing needs, all AP Exams will be administered online directly by The College Board. The exams have been shortened to 45 minute Free Response or DBQ type questions, including only topics that were covered prior to the March 13 school shutdown.  All information can be found here including the exam schedule and exam details for each subject:

EHS 2020-21 LINK CREW LEADER APPLICATION

In order to be eligible to be a Link Crew Leader, you must do the following:

1. Complete the application below.
2. Email your counselor asking them to fill out the Link Crew Grade Verification google form.
3. Submit your application by Monday, May 18th
4. Acceptance letters will be emailed on Friday, May 22nd to your student email address.
5. You will be required to attend mandatory meetings Tues, August 18th (1pm-5pm) Wed, August 19th (1pm- 5pm), Thurs, Aug 20th (6:45am-1pm), and Fri, Aug 21st (8-12).
