HOSA

2022-2023 HOSA Officers
President
Hey Aztecs! My name is Esha Jhawar, and I'm the president of HOSA! I'm a senior, I play varsity tennis, and I love to cook. This is my second year as president, and I cannot wait for our service learning projects and State Leadership Conference. If you are a part of the Medical Sciences Academy, I highly encourage you to join HOSA!
Vice President
Hello, my name is Giselle Mendez! I am a junior here at Esperanza High School and this year's HOSA vice president. I strive to approach my peers as a support system and my advisors as an optimist that they can rely on. Esperanza's Medical Science Academy stresses the importance of communication and team skills and I can't wait to see what team will be formed this year and in the years to come!
Secretary
Hello everyone! I'm Sydney Phethean, and I am the HOSA Secretary. I absolutely love everything that HOSA stands for as well as what we do to try and spread awareness for the medical communities. In school I'm also the ASB Secretary, I'm in choir, Water Polo, and Swim. I absolutely love HOSA and can't wait to help you all love it too!
Treasurer
Hi! I’m Akash, a senior looking to one day be an orthopedic surgeon. This is my third year in HOSA as both a member and competitor. I’ve won 2nd place in the state and gone on to the International Leadership Conference in June of 2022 for the prepared speaking event. Beyond HOSA, my other passion is working for the Red Cross as a data analyst and researching ways to improve tissue regeneration. I’m looking forward to a great year as a HOSA officer and making the club a great experience for everyone!
Parliamentarian/Commissioner of  Events
Hi everyone! I am Elizabeth Charcas and the Hosa parliamentarian this year! I am currently a senior and involved with Band and Link Crew. Can’t wait to meet you all and am thrilled about what we will be able to achieve this year.
Historians
Hi everyone! My name is Shelly Li, and I am this year’s HOSA historian. I am currently in 12th grade and a student of the Medical Sciences Academy here at Esperanza. This year I have stepped outside of my comfort zone to become an officer for HOSA, and I am immensely grateful for this opportunity. I believe that HOSA, for me and many others, is the start of a road to being a medical professional, and I aspire to help everyone grow together as a chapter in this journey. I look forward to working with all of you this year!

Hi everyone my name is Leah Gomez. I am currently a senior and one of HOSA’s historians. Other than HOSA I am also in the yearbook and a chairman of PTSA. I am invested in learning all I can about the medical field and I think this is a great extra step to take. I can’t wait to see and take pictures of all the great things we will do this year.
