Hello all:

 

The 2022/23 school year will be my 23rd in PYLUSD and 22nd teaching at Esperanza HS.  I am an alumni of Esperanza (class of 1993) and take great pride in doing the very best job possible serving the students and families of this community.  The most enjoyable part of my job is seeing students strive to master a second language and reach a point where they are capable of interacting in the target language.  All our World Language teachers work hard to develop that mastery in our students.  It is very rewarding to see a large portion of our top students reach this level of proficiency.  Each year many students receive their Seal of Bi-literacy at graduation and over the past 3 years we have realized over a 95% pass rate on the AP Exam.  I look forward to having your students in class this year and in the future.
