Beginning Theatre Arts (Period 2)

This course is one year in length. The curriculum will incorporate the Common Core State Standards. Beginning Theatre Arts is designed to provide the student with an overall appreciation of theater as a performing art, as well as an introduction to production skills. It will acquaint the student with the basics of acting and improvisation through voice, movement, and sensory exploration. In addition, the course will include the fundamentals of play production, technical theater, dramatic literature and theater history.
