ABOUT ME

Hi Aztecs!

My name is Mr. Goettsche. I am an alumnus of Esperanza High School (Class of 1993) and take great pride in doing the very best job possible serving the students and families of this community. The most enjoyable part of my job is seeing students strive to master a second language and reach a point where they are capable of interacting in the target language. All of our World Language teachers work hard to develop that mastery in our students, and it is very rewarding to see a large portion of our top students reach this level of proficiency. Each year, many students receive their Seal of Biliteracy at graduation, and over the past three years we have achieved over a 95% pass rate on the AP Exam.

I earned my Master of Science in Education Leadership from California State University, Fullerton in 2002, and my Bachelor of Arts in Spanish Teaching with a minor in Math Education from Brigham Young University in 1999.

Below are the courses I teach:

  • Spanish 3
  • 3 Honors
  • 4 Honors
  • AP Language and Culture

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out. I look forward to a great year!
