EHS Ceramics with Mr. Kowalski
Discover the art of clay in Mr. Kowalski’s Ceramics class, a hands-on elective designed to introduce students to the fundamentals of the ceramic process. Throughout the year, students will explore a variety of techniques, including hand-building, wheel-throwing, and glazing. Projects are designed to encourage self-expression and creativity while helping students develop essential skills in a supportive and engaging environment.
For students looking to take their skills further, we also offer Advanced Ceramics and AP Ceramics. These courses provide opportunities for deeper exploration, personal artistic development, and portfolio building for college applications and art careers.
Mr. Kowalski brings a wealth of experience and passion to the classroom. Holding a BFA & BA in Ceramics and Art Education from CSU Fullerton and a Master’s in Education from Concordia University Irvine, he has been teaching in PYLUSD since 2008. His global experiences—including teaching in Taiwan and extensive travel—enrich his dynamic approach to ceramics education.
