Graphic Design (Period 3)

Course Description

Graphic Design is an introductory course designed to cover the basic skills needed for an entry level job in the graphic design field. Course software includes Adobe Creative Suite 5® and Flash®. Computer layout, design, image editing, and illustration are used in the preparation of electronic and print-ready graphics, including websites. Students explore the elements and principles of visual design through a series of projects and learn about real-world applications of two-dimensional and three-dimensional design.
 
Students will primarily work at their own pace, with some lecture/demonstration provided by the instructor. The student is charged with keeping on task and completing the required work, when it is due.
