Those of you who went to BYMS or had students that attended Bernardo Yorba might recognize me from my 6 years of teaching ELA, ELD AVID and Drama courses. Leaving Bernardo was bittersweet, but I am THRILLED to be an AZTEC!

After teaching ELD, ELA and AVID here at Esperanza, I am honored to have been chosen as your new Assistant Principal of Curriculum and Instruction beginning in the 2021-22 school year.

I bring with me to Esperanza my passion for equity in education and my determination to make sure that ALL students have access to the rigorous opportunities that will make them successful in life. In my role as Assistant Principal, it is my mission to serve our students and their families as well as our faculty so that together, we can help all of our students succeed.

In my home-life, I'm a mother of two awesome boys, Ben and Brody. Ben is at ASU doing Navy ROTC. We were ecstatic that he has earned a full scholarship through the Navy. Brody is a Senior at El Dorado and plays varsity water polo. My husband, Bryan Swarm is the coach of all things aquatic at El Dorado - boys and girls water polo and swim. I do bleed black and gold when it comes to boys polo, but I will support EHS in all other things! #AztecPride!

Let’s make it an AWESOME year here at EHS!!
