ACACIA FRATERNITY LEADERSHIP SCHOLARSHIP:

ALEXANDER GRAHAM BELL ASSOCIATION FOR THE DEAF:

ALPHA PHI ALPHA FRATERNITY:

AMERICAN CHEMICAL SOCIETY MINORITY SCHOLARS:

AMERICAN FIRE SPRINKLER ASSOCIATION SCHOLARSHIP:
Ten $2000 prizes.  Every year, the American Fire Sprinkler Association (AFSA) sponsors an essay contest in which a different theme is chosen for high school seniors to research and write about.  Contest details, essay requirements and the application process can be found at www.afsascholarship.org  Deadline:  April 13.
AMERICAN INSTITUTE OF POLISH CULTURE:

AMERICAN LEGION AUXILIARY-CALIFORNIA:

AMERICAN MEDICAL TECHNOLOGISTS' SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM:

ANAHEIM HILLS/YORBA LINDA KIWANIS SENIOR SCHOLARSHIP:
Two (2) $250 scholarships will be awarded to Esperanza students who have shown a commitment to volunteerism in their school and community.  The student must have a minimum 2.0 GPA.  Two letters of reference are required.
ARBY'S FOUNDATION-BIG BROTHERS/SISTERS OF AMERICA:

ASIAN AMERICAN JOURNALISTS ASSOCIATION SCHOLARSHIP AWARDS:

ASIAN BUSINESS ASSOCIATION OF ORANGE COUNTY:
Two $1000 scholarships are given to Orange County residents with a least one Asian parent.  Applicants will be judged on academic performance, community involvement, and proficiency and quality of the submitted essay on a given topic.
ASIAN PACIFIC YOUTH LEADERSHIP PROGRAM:
Twenty $1,000 awards to seniors of ASIAN PACIFIC heritage who have demonstrated academic achievement, outstanding leadership skills, and have participated in a VARIETY of extra curricular and community activities.  Student must write an essay about community involvement and submit one letter of recommendation.  Contact Asian Pacific Youth Leadership Program, c/o KSCI-TV, 1990 S. AVERY DENNISON CORPORATION SCHOLARSHIP:
Five $2000 scholarships are given to seniors in our local area who stand out for their academics and activities.  Emphasis is placed on students have overcome adversity to achieve their goals.
AXA ACHIEVEMENT SCHOLARSHIP:
 
This scholarship, in association with U.S. News and World Report, gives scholarships between $10,000 and $25,000 to students across the nation, who have demonstrated ambition and self drive as evidenced by outstanding achievement in school, the community, or the workplace. 
 
AYN RAND INSTITUTE ESSAY CONTEST:

BAPTIST LIFE ASSOCIATION SCHOLARSHIP GRANTS:

Students must have a GPA of 2.5 or higher, work an average of 15 hours per week 40 weeks per year, demonstrate financial need, as well as participation in community service and extra curricular activities, and plans to enroll in a 2 or 4 year college, university, or vocational school in the fall.  YOU ARE NOT REQUIRED TO BE A BURGER KING EMPLOYEE.  One nominee from Esperanza will be chosen to be considered for the scholarship.
 
CALIFORNIA ALARM ASSOCIATION YOUTH SCHOLARSHIP:
 
Eight $500 to $3,500 awards to seniors whose PARENTS OR GUARDIANS are full-time active EMPLOYEES OF POLICE OR SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENTS or full time paid or volunteer members of FIRE DEPARTMENTS.  Students will be judged on G.P.A., SAT scores, rank in class, activities, honors, and an essay. 
 
CALIFORNIA ASSOCIATION FOR HEALTH, PHYSICAL EDUCATION, RECREATION, AND DANCE SCHOLARSHIP:

CALIFORNIA CHICANO NEWS MEDIA ASSOCIATION SCHOLARSHIPS:

One hundred $400 scholarships awarded to seniors with above a 2.8 G.P.A. Seniors interested in the field of environmental health must write a paper addressing a current environmental health issue.  One $300 scholarship will be awarded to the author of the winning paper. 
 
CALIFORNIA FARM BUREAU FEDERATION:

CAL STATE/POLY UNIVERSITY SYSTEM:
 
Each campus has its own forms, publications, application deadlines and procedures regarding scholarships. Students applying to schools within the system should contact the individual financial aid offices for information (preferably scholarship booklets) NO LATER THAN JANUARY of senior year.  Students should also carefully read all information received from individual campuses after beginning the application process.  GENERALLY high school transcripts must be received by campuses by February 1 of senior year to be eligible for scholarships.
 
CAL STATE FULLERTON CHRISTINE LYON DANCE SCHOLARSHIP:

CAL STATE FULLERTON DIXIE AND GORDON SHAW THEATER SCHOLARSHIP:
 
$650 per year scholarship awarded to a student who intends to pursue an undergraduate degree in THEATER OR DANCE AT CSU FULLERTON.  Must have theater and/or dance experience and must submit letters of recommendation. 
 
CAL STATE FULLERTON EMMETT D. BURNETT MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP:
 
$500 to $1,000 scholarship awarded to new or continuing full time ENGINEERING AND COMPUTER SCIENCE students who achieve sophomore status.  Must exhibit academic achievement (3.25 GPA minimum), leadership, and financial need; preference given to dependents of Hughes Aircraft, Fullerton, employees.  Contact C.S.U.F., Asst. CAL STATE FULLERTON FORENSICS AWARD:

CAL STATE FULLERTON HISPANIC SCHOLARSHIP:
 
Twenty $1,000 scholarship awarded to HISPANIC students entering CSUF as first time freshmen.  Applicants judged on basis of G.P.A. (minimum 3.0), SAT scores, school and community activities, and heritage (Mexican, Puerto Rican, Cuban, Central American, or South American).  Pick up application at the Office of University Outreach, University Hall 215.  Application deadline is May 1.
 
CAL STATE FULLERTON JOHN BROWNING MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP:

CAL STATE FULLERTON MUSIC DEPARTMENT SCHOLARSHIPS:

CAL STATE FULLERTON PHARMACEUTICAL ENGINEERING SCHOLARSHIP:
 
$1,000 scholarship awarded to continuing pharmaceutical engineering students.  Applicants must major in engineering with pharmaceutical emphasis and have completed and passed at least two required pharmaceutical emphasis courses, must demonstrate need, achievement and leadership.  Contact Rory M. CAL STATE FULLERTON PRESIDENT'S SCHOLAR PROGRAM:
 
Twelve $2,000 scholarships awarded per year.  Seniors with a grade-point average of at least 3.75 in all academic subjects for the 10th, 11th, and first half of the 12th grade and a S.A.T. TOTAL SCORE OF 1200 or HIGHER.  Must document significant contributions to school and community activities during high school, verify outstanding individual achievement, FILE FOR FULL TIME ADMISSION BEFORE APPLYING for the award.  National Merit semi-finalists and finalists are automatically accepted.  Submit a completed President's Scholars application form, arrange for the secondary school report and description and evaluation of student forms to be submitted by high school counselor and a faculty member.  Postmarked deadline for all materials and official transcript showing final grades from 10th, 11th and 1st semester 12th is February 20.

CHEVROLET/STELLAR GOSPEL MUSIC EXCELLENCE IN EDUCATION AWARD:
 
Minimum $1,000 award.  Open to high school senior who will be graduating in the spring of 2007.  Must have minimum 3.2 GPA and demonstrate both academic excellence and outstanding community service.  Must be U.S. citizen or have eligibility to work in the U.S. and intend to enroll in an accredited two or four year college or university during the fall term of 2007.  All fields of study apply.   Application must include a 500 to 750 word personal statement showing how your high school experiences have prepared you for college, why you should be considered for scholarship support and any other information you with to share that may be of importance to the selection committee.  Applicant must also include a letter of recommendation from a high school teacher or administrator, and an official high school transcript.  Send self-addressed stamped envelope to: GM Scholarship Administration Center, 700 West 5th Avenue, Naperville, Illinois  60503, by December 7.

Three $20,000 scholarships awarded to seniors who will attend a 4-year college or university in California, have a strong academic record, and show promise of becoming future leaders.  To apply you must submit your SAT scores to Edison by December 1st.  You can do this by entering the number 0175 on the SAT registration form where you must indicate where to release your scores.  If you have already taken the SAT you can release your scores by phone, online, or by filling out and sending in an Additional Report Request Form available in the counseling office.
 
EDUCATIONAL COMMUNICATIONS SCHOLARSHIP FOUNDATION:

Seeks to identify and support talented young artists who intend to pursue a career in the arts.  The award provides $5,000 per year for up to four years to selected students who require financial assistance while enrolled in a four-year college/university degree program or professional career preparation program in music, dance, theater or visual arts.  Applicants that are chosen as semi-finalists and/or finalists must be able to travel to the Los Angeles area for a live interview and audition.
