Mrs. Rachel Stein - Educational Pathways

Welcome to the Educational Pathways! Hello, My name is Mrs. Rachel Stein.   Where I may be new to Esperanza, I am not new to teaching.  This is my 19th year in the classroom.  Over the past 19 years, I have taught in three different states, and a few different schools. I am a primary teacher at heart, and spent most of early career teaching k,1 and 2.  Most recently, my career took a different path and learned that teaching big kids, is the same as teaching littles!  But now, I get to take my years of teaching elementary, middle and high school ( beyond!) and teach this pathway!

My Credentials:

I hold multi-state certificates in elementary education; in New York, Arizona, and California. In New York, I hold a public school teaching certificate, early childhood certificate, and a reading specialist k-12.   In Arizona, I hold early childhood birth - grade 3, and elementary grade 1 - 6. I am also SEI endorsed.  In the state of California, I hold CLAD, Multiple Subject Clear and CTE Preliminary Credentials.

I obtained my bachelor's degree from Long Island University, CW Post Campus, in Curriculum and Instruction. I hold a minor in Sociology, along with a Master's in Literacy Education ( K  - 12) from Long Island University as well.  Teachers College at Columbia University for Writers' Workshop.  I have never stopped attending school and continue to learn and grow as a professional.
